One of Europe’s most well-known nudist colonies has become the center of an investigation for alledgedly setting three nightclubs on fire. The nudist group Cap d'Agde are suspected of setting on fire nightclubs where swingers frequent. The club Glamour, which is known for "wife-swapping," was the first to be set ablaze. Immediately following that was Palme Re and and Tantra club. “What goes on in certain places is not naturism,” said Guy Delfour, former head of the French federation of naturism. “Nudity is just one element of naturism. There are other values to recognise, such as the protection of nature" he added as reported by the Times Online. According to the Times Online, no one was hurt in the fires, although the community has been shocked...most of their crimes are related to exhibitionists. The police recently intervened in a case where a man was whipping his wife off the balcony of their apartment for the enjoyment of viewers down below. Although the nudists are suspected of causing the fires, some still have their doubts and cannot envision the peaceful cohort doing such a thing. “We don’t want to put the échangiste places out of business,” said Gilles Beaumont, a naturist and regular at Cap d’Agde. “It’s true that we don’t like being mixed up with the swingers. But we respect other people and their right to behave as they please,” he added as reported by the Times Online.

Chad Toy's escape from jail wasn't what shocked his jailers; it was his plea to be let back in. "When I rang the bell at the jail and told them who I was, they were surprised," Toy told The Paducah (Ky.) Sun newspaper. Toy, who is serving a four year sentence for home invasion, escaped Monday while on a cleanup detail in the lobby. A guard unlocked the front doors to clean trash from a breezeway, and Troy escaped. But Toy returned that afternoon, wet and covered with grime. Bill Adams, a jailer, doubts Toy's story that his mom and sister convinced him to return to jail. He thinks the escapee spent his brief liberty hiding beside the Tennessee River. Adams said it was the first time in his 14 years that he's seen an escaped convict willingly return on their own. "It was a spur of the moment decision. I saw an open door and just ran through it.I am sorry about what I did. If I had it to do over again, I would have never run out the door," Troy said. The incident took place as she was driving on Interstate 95 on Friday. The 19-year old boyfriend became angry and hit the woman in the arm and face with a sandwich.
