About:
Insane asylum styled atmosphere with static displays and live actors. All new features this year with a tent of ghosts and a full featured graveyard. This will be the kick off for the first annual "Haunting for Food" Drive. Bring a canned or dry good for donation to the local food pantry. This will be a gaurenteed good scare and there will be treats for the little ghouls.
History:
2004 was our first year at the haunting for Halloween and though we had very little to offer as far as things to see, we were still quite successful at impressing all who visited. We hail from Wisconsin Rapids, WI and are positioned pretty much in the middle of the state. My brother and I decided to start this on a lark. Now we have begun to build and grow our displays to some fairly large and spectacular proportions. In 2004 we had mainly store bought displays that were not very scary, but my ghoul friend Roxanne just sat in a corner on a chair and as people would get right next to her, gaping around at everything, she would stand up and reach out. That was all any one needed for a great scare. My brother and I were stationed in the two six foot coffins standing still...when people approached, boom, our doors would fly open and out we stepped. Beyond that, we had a nice graveyard scene. 2005 brought us into a new era of static and animated displays as well as adding three more live characters to our fun. We had a motorized dancing skeleton, a 60’ long flying ghost, a new display across the garage that featured an air controlled pop skull, and an enhanced graveyard that featured a crypt with it’s own live ghoul...(yours truly in a new costume.)
