About:
One stormy night the "The Mistress of the Manor" was working in the lobby, when out of nowhere a strange man appeared behind her. The man kept repeating "I'm looking for Tom". The Mistress quickly opened the front door and told him to leave. The man continued to say he was looking for Tom; but as soon as the man walked out the door he disappeared. The next morning "Homeless Tom" was found dead in Nightmare Manor.
History:
HOMELESS TOM Eight years ago when we rented the building for Nightmare Manor, we also acquired a homeless man, Tom "Jackson". Tom did odd jobs for the landlord in trade for a place to sleep. He was a nice old man, so we did not mind if he stayed. As we built more and more scenes Tom's bed (an old couch) was pushed to the back. Becoming uncomfortable with all the "monsters" moving in, Tom disappeared. When the landlord found Tom sleeping in a truck in the parking lot, he offered him an area in the basement of Nightmare Manor. Over the years Tom would disappear without a word; but always magically appear before the Halloween season. Tom was our security. When the "Mistress of the Manor" worked alone at night, she knew Tom was always downstairs if she needed him. Sadly, the morning of October 22nd, 2003 the landlord found Tom dead in his bed. Not finding any relatives to claim Tom, Nightmare Manor took care of his body. Tom's ashes are in the lobby of Nightmare Manor along with a copy of his death certificate. UNCLE PETE (1885-1947) Pete lived a not so honest life and maybe had Mafia connections. He had a "still" in his home and was arrested many times for illegally transporting liquor during the prohibition. Just after selling his house to a stranger for $1, Uncle Pete disappeared. A few days later his body was found floating in the river. His death was listed as suicide, or was it murder? Uncle Pete is the great-uncle of the owner and his "death portrait" hangs in Nightmare Manor.
