History:

Sometimes, there is a horror so great, tragedy so severe, it causes time to stand still. The lands absolute beauty was once so astounding, so perfectly complete, passerby’s couldn’t help but pause in admiration. The progression of time never aged the flagstone castle encircled by lush green acres of emerald fields. The surrounding village, filled with peasants steeped in centuries of superstition, knew of the wizard ensconced behind the castles walls, but fear kept them from approaching the foreboding structure. The whispers began…“sorcery, witchcraft, sacrifices, rituals”… The villagers no longer gazed upon the castle with awe, instead, a deep feeling of dread slowly seeped into their little houses, oozing from the walls, invading their minds, leaving sanity behind. Soon doors were locked against neighbors, windows shuttered, lest the evil trickle in. But it wasn’t enough….wickedness soon took over, the vile scent of malevolence became embedded with each breath, filling the senses with it’s revolting presence. They attacked….. The insanity took over, sending the peasants crashing into the castles gates. Armed with pitchforks, branches, fists and the gleeful madness of their own festering minds, they swarmed the grounds. The roaring shouts of lunacy could be heard for miles, the crashing of the drawbridge reverberated throughout the lands, the screams of malevolent intent filled the air. The castles door crashed open with a resounding echo, the crushing mob filled the castle, the insane army shouted victory as one, the door slammed shut and….. SILENCE! For centuries now, the castle has waited, wilted, fallen to ruins, no one daring to get close. But now, the wizard has come back, is he alone or are THEY with him? Come now accept the challenge, release the wickedness which has shrouded this castle for far too long.
