- Built above a haunted mine shaft. The Ghastly family suffered one hundred years of torment at the hands of evil! The Midwest's only tour guided haunted house! Over 5000sq feet of terror!
- History:
- The Ghastly Home was built directly above mine shaft #238 where only a few years earlier, 27 miners lost thier lives, when the shaft collapsed and flooded. Unable to remove the water or the lost souls, the shaft was abandoned and never drained. In 1889, when the Ghastly house was built, the shaft was tapped through the well for the house. After years of drinking the water, the Ghastly Family began acting very strangely in an evil sort of way! Some say it was the souls of the miners, others say it was just the lead tainted water that caused the family to crack.
