About:: Behind Kozy Head Fireplaces lurks something decidedly uncozy. Nightmares Haunted House has been a fixture for 19 years in Benton County and continues to frighten guests while scaring up money for the Bentonville/Bella Vista Lions Club. Last year, about 2,400 people attended and raised $13,000 for organizations the Lions Club supports like Habitat for Humaniy of Benton County. Ron Guadian, owner of Kozy Heat, is the president of te local Lions Club and connected the haunted house to the civic organization as a fund-raiser. On a September day, volunteers and founders assess the scene of a hearse and assorted "Ghoul Buses" surrounding the haunted house. Chris Michaels, one of the organizers, leads a tour of the black and white bus with a huge skull on top. The bus was purchased at an auction for $1,100 from the Rogers School District, he said. The seats are all turned backward for added effect as people are driven around the grounds. "This is a really scary ride, something cool that no one else does," Michaal said. Television sets at the back of the bus add even more creepy visuals with movies like "Jeepers Creepers 2." Nightmares Haunted House has been Haunting NW Arkansas for 19 years!!!
