SWEATSHOPS NOW GENERATING HORROR THEMED TENNIS SHOES TO MATCH REAL HORROR OF EMPLOYEES' LIVES!
submitted at May 12, 2008 at 12:29 PM by Tim Haskell
Nike has just announced a new line of Freddy Krueger themed tennis shoes. I am sure this news is going to make some of you very excited because you don’t mind giving money to a mindless corporate enterprise who knows how to market to suckers. But for my money no matter what your political beliefs are these shoes are just plain Fugly. And I also just want to take this opportunity to remind everyone that Freddy Krueger was, is and never will be real. I liked the “Nightmare On Elm Street”: ...(read more)
Thoughts on the Big Wangdoodle

I was at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival last weekend and spent a little time in the gospel music tent. As always, the voices and the music were amazing. But as an agnostic, I was, as always, struck by the loud and long protestations of faith bubbling up all around me. It’s not a faith I share, and I find it interesting that so many people experience it so deeply. One of the groups sang a song that celebrated the resurrection, with lots of call and response sections about “he’s back, he’s not dead, etc. ...(read more)
Worst Movie Title Ever?
submitted at May 7, 2008 at 1:52 PM by Laurie connor
Here’s my vote the worst movie title (horror or otherwise) that I’ve ever heard: Midnight Meat Train. I was in a theater a couple of weeks ago and saw the trailer, and the movie looks pretty decent actually. They don’t say the name of the film until the dunh, dunh, dunh voiceover at the end. I laughed out loud. So did most of the other people in the theater.
I know now (having Googled it) that it’s based on a short story of the …(read more)
BE A STRANGER

So i heard about this film The Strangers opening May 30th, but didn’t know too much about it. I had yet to see a preview. And then I went to see Baby Mama the other day, and – what? You have a problem with that? I went with my wife (sorry ladies, but yes I am married), but I don’t need to justify anything to you. Come here, COME HERE! I swear to god I will Kick Your Effin’ A – and lo and behold before the film there is a preview for “The …(read more)
WITCHES ARE REAL!
submitted at May 2, 2008 at 12:04 PM by Tim HaskellYou know, it is funny to me that in this day and age we still get reports of UFO’s (I would like to emphasize the unidentified part) and in this case UFP’s (Persons). The British Tabloid The Sun is reporting that there was what is presumed to be a witch flying in the sky in Mexico caught on video.
The part that amazes me is that we still are posting stories about flying objects that are black and white, grainy, without any definition and are one-hundred percent, unequivocally, and intentionally …(read more)
Joshua Hoffine is Friggin' Incredible!
submitted at Apr 28, 2008 at 5:20 PM by Tim Haskell
So our amazing photographer Jaisen Crockett who takes all of our Haunternet Girl photos, as well as took all of the shots for the Free Stuff wallpapers, is a discerning critic of other photographers to say the least. Justifiably so, Jaisen is truly top-of-the-line. So when he stumbled upon the photography of Joshua Hoffine and was blown away, he sent it to me immediately. And he was right to, this guy’s work is beautiful.
He …(read more)
